I love such old establishment with their very old fashion retro settings. This is the Beng Hiang Restaurant at Jurong East, right on top of the NTUC and beside Jcube. They were at Amoy street and took over this location after another old styled Raja restaurant shut down. The new venue is huge and they are doing really good business there.  This is hokkien cuisine and i heard the two chefs who are the founders are still cooking.

The dish that stole the limelight must be the oyster omelette. It was very crispy and served with big oysters. One of the best oyster omelette that i have ever eaten.

I am not a prawn roll fan but this should also be another of their signature dish.

This is the traditional Hokkien Mee, another of their signature dish. It is not the light colored type that we see in hawker centers but dark colored.

This may be boring tofu but i liked it. I seem to taste some milk powder.

This ‘kong Ba Pau’ is also another of their signature dish and they served it with ‘Pau’.

I liked the fish maw soup too as it is very thick and tasty.

Pretty good meal and not too expensive. For 5 adults and 2 children, it cost about $150.
