I always wanted to try the Shake Shack Burger when it opened its doors in Jewel Changi but rapidly changed my mind when i was told of the waiting time (up to 2-3 hours). Therefore in a recent trip to London, i came across the branch at Leicester Square, i couldn’t pass up this chance.
Well as for the queue?
That’s the queue which it is not even considered a queue in Singapore. A popular wanton mee stall in the Singapore hawker center is already longer than that. I waited less than 10 minutes and then i get a beeper which vibrates when my food is ready. All in all perhaps 20 minutes max. Maybe it originates from UK and has been there for long, otherwise i can’t quite comprehend why such a short queue. Mind you, Leicester square is an extremely popular area in London.
My apologies if you find that the burger is not as symmetrical is because i took a bite before i remember i want to blog about it. Hope it doesn’t gross you out. As you can see, i am not a professional blogger : ). I ordered the double shake burger which means double beef patty. The beef patty is grilled just nice and not overcooked which makes it really juicy. I thought i taste and see a layer of think bacon but i can’t be totally sure. After i tasted it then i start to do a bit of reading up to understand why it taste so good. It is 100% Angus beef patty and comes from hormone free cattle. Hmm…that’s sounds so reassuring and guilt free but then i suppose the reverse is true for the rest of the fast food…
I actually thought i will get the fries sprinkled with bacons for the cheese fries but apparently it is not. Not sure how to order that but i will ask next time. Total damage is GBP 8.75 (SGD14.85) for double shack burger and GBP 4 (SGD6.8) for the fries. From what i gather, it is still more expensive than in Singapore.
WOW just what I was searching for. Came here by searching for website
