I always wanted to try Shake Shack when they opened in Singapore but was put off by the super long queue. The first time i tried it was in their Leicester London branch. I really liked the taste of their signature burger and could not wait to have it again.
I tried my luck recently at the Orchard Liat Tower outlet by going a little early at 11.15am and I am the only fourth in the queue. In the orchard outlet, you can choose either indoor or outdoor and if you do not mind the heat, then you can perhaps cut the queue and dine outdoors which is what i did.
I ordered their standard burger ala carte plus a cheese fries. After seated, the wait for the food was longer than expected. I think it was about 15 minutes.
The burger did not disappoint and was really tasty and juicy. Probably it is because they use Angus beef for the patty and the cheese fries is a great compliment. The ShackBurger cost $9.20 which is considered premium for just a burger but it is still cheaper than the Macdonald’s Angus burger which cost about $9.80. The Mac’s Angus burger is my favourite if we have to eat Macdonalds but I think the Shake Shack is still more tasty as i can taste more of the beef patty.
