Here’s the Hua Kee Hougang wanton mee. The noodle texture is good, one of the best in Singapore but the killer has to be the chilli sauce. Just very flavourful and yet not too spicy. If you do not want to wait, just go at 5pm, absolutely no queue.
The other very popular stall is the Chuan Kee Satay. As we went there at 5pm, we only need to wait 30 minutes. However, soon after we start hearing some very vocal complaints from some customers moaning that they have been waiting for an hour. I find that the flavour is not bad as they season them well but the pork is just too hard. My favourite is they satay sauce where i think they put quite bit of pineapple sauce to make it tasty. For satay, i still prefer the fat man satay at the same hawker centre. However, nothing is perfect in this world so my biggest grouse of fat man satay is no pork (as they are a muslim stall) and they only open at 7pm.
