Myanmar Food: Shan Yoe Yar

The is Myanmar food from the Shan state. Shan state is probably more famous for the drug related activity than food. As they are close to the thai border, the food has some similarity to the thai cruisine.

This is dried pork with garlic sauce. Quite tasty except the pork is a little too hard.

This is some local vegetable which i have forgotten the name but not too bad.

This is the dish that taste like tom yam soup except that it is not as strong or spicy.

This is their fish dish. I thought we ordered steam fish but didn’t expect it to turn up this way. I don’t really like this dish as it smells a little like garbage.
