This is the first time I engaged a driver for a KL trip. It is not such a bad idea actually as long as I am not the one driving. I don’t mind driving up to melaka but Kl is a stretch. If you take a plane, the timing is about the same. two hours before you need to be at the airport, 45 minutes flight and another 30 minutes at custom, 1 hour to KL sentral. It should be about 5 hours door to door. That’s about the same a by car. it makes sense if you have more than 1 person in this journey. The return trip cost about SGD850.
This is my room at Hilton KL sentral. One of the better hotel in KL and it is on top of the KL sentral station. At this station, you can take a train to the city.
