I just went for the 1-1 DBS curated menu promotion with my BFF at Woolomoloo steakhouse, one of the best steakhouse in Singapore for me. That means you need to pay with DBS credit or debit card. It is a five course set dinner meal and I can see that this is a very successful promotion judging by how crowded the restaurant was. At least I was assured with the social distancing in place in the restaurant with the tables being quite separated.

The first course

The first course is smoked salmon which taste a little dry even with the lemon.

Second course

Second course is crab cake which is pretty tasty but also little too dry. At least better than the first course.

Third course

Third course starts to get better. After the first two very dry dishes, i was happy to see the waiter bringing me the soup. This is mushroom soup with truffles and very strong truffle taste too.

Fourth course – the main dish

Here’s the main lead, the ribeye steak. This is 6 oz or about 170g which sounds a little small but considering this is a five course dinner, it is sufficient. I was toying with either a medium well or medium but decided to go for medium. My partner went for medium well and it was just too cooked. That is the problem with going with medium well as sometimes it can turn disastrous. Anyway, i shared mine with him to he can experience my really good medium well steak too. This goes really well with a glass of Shiraz red wine.It is cooked just right with a little pink inside. Mistake! I should have taken a picture of the inside .

Fifth course – the desserts

The last course is the dessert comprising of yogurt and cheesecake. There was a bit too much of strawberry jam on it but other than that, it is good.

This meal cost about $188 for 2 so with the service charge and GST, it adds up to $267.20 so each is $133 which is great value considering the quality. I really do not mind paying slight premium for a good steak and service so this meets the criteria. Definitely a great dinner outing and i do not mind coming back again.
