The Venue

It has been a while since I last went for another steak meal. I finally did that again with my buddy and this time we went to the Bedrock Bar and Grill over at the 98 Somerset road. The restaurant is just at the ground floor of Pan Pacific Service Suite.

There is a choice of either Al fresco dining where you can just have your dinner and do some people watching along the heavily congested Somerset walkway. We find that this is too distracting so decided to have some peace and quiet with the indoor seating.

The Food

One of the original reason to come here was for the tomahawk steak but it weighed about 1.3kg before de-boning. That automatically disqualify this choice as there were only two of us and no way we can finish 400g of meat each. Thus our next best choice was a mix of two different kind of beef cuts, one was the Australia glass fed Ribeye and the other was the Dry Aged USDA T-bone 500G.

As we have two different types of beef side by side, it was a great opportunity to really taste the difference. Both tasted great but I would still preferred the Dry Aged T-bone as it appears to be more flavourful. The Ribeye was also flavourful but maybe more so due to the seasoning but the T-bone is simply seasoned with just salt. Of course, we ordered a glass of Shiraz to go along with it.

The Saleet Mushrooms were also very good and it went really well with the steak. Not to mention take away some guilt from all the meat.

The Verdict

I must say we really enjoyed ourselves and the damage is about $271 which is reasonable for steak of this quality. For sure we will go back again.
