Finally I can strike this out of my bucket list. With the new highway, it is not as bad and takes only about 3 hours plus to get there from new delhi. In the past, it was 7-8 hours journey i heard which is why i didn’t want to go. However, now it probably one of the worst time to go too as it is hot as hell, at least 44 degrees celsius. When you get there, you will instantly know the meaning of heat waves.
This is the world famous Taj Mahal and one of the world wonders. Shah Jahan built it for his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal.

The main gate that has 22 domes for each year it takes to complete the Taj Mahal. The mughuls were the decedents of Genghis Khans and were also fierce and skilled warriors that helped them conquer large part of india.
Close up, these decorations were precious stones jade from China and Belgium.
These are the scenes at the back of the Taj.
This is where Shah Jahan planned to build his black Taj. Well, we all know that it didn’t happen as his youngest son had his imprisoned.
