Por Kee Eating House @ Tiong Bahru

This is Zi Char is really hot. You can see the tables lined up all around the premises and see Japanese eating here in groups. It makes me wonder why the Japs like this Zi Char so much or was it featured in some Japanese food program. I am really curious but at least i know where to bring my partners next time when they are in town.

This is their signature Champagne Pork. You can really tell the ‘wok fire’ must be very hot to be able to create such a flavour.  Really well done!

Cereal Prawn is rather common but i think they made it really well as the cereal is very crunchy and the prawn juicy.

Tofu dish…eh…taste like tofu lor.

Salty veggie soup. Another calefare but kinda refreshing soup to go with the dinner.

Of everything, i love the setting. You can just park your car infront or near the restaurant and eat out in the open. I would prefer to eat in the open Al Fresco style overlooking the old style houses.

The damage? it is $81 just for these 4 dishes plus a pot of tea @ $8 which they charge per head by default where you drink or not. Seems to be rather steep even though they don’t charge GST.  Maybe next time i will just skip the tea.
