No, my favourite Indian dish is not the Roti Prata or Mee Goreng. I prefer more of the northern Indian cuisine and here are my top three favourites.
First is the butter chicken. My low carbo diet goes out of the window with the butter chicken. It just go so well with naan which not surprisingly is my second favourite as the combination is just heavenly. If you think that you see a hair in the butter chicken, you are right. No need to wipe your screen because there is actually a frigging hair on my dish!. I was ready to let it slide but the manager or the boss happened to come by and asked for feedback so there’s my chance. I pointed to him the hair which he apologized profusely and quickly changed a new one for us.
Unfortunately, i already gobbled up a few spoonful of it until my friend spotted the hair. Yuks! Otherwise it would have been a wonderful experience. Points deducted for this rather gross experience. That is the reason why chef wears a toque (hat) or cap.
My third most favourite indian dish is the Tandoori Chicken. I suppose it is the herbs and spices that makes the flavor of such barbecue chicken so unique and fragrant. For indian food, i do not need any other dishes but just these three and it will make me a very happy man.
Overall, it is a very good meal as it has the three of my favourite dishes and it is not too expensive. These three combination is just perfect to me. Total damage is about $70 for two person. Well, what do you expect from a north indian restaurant? Not a late night roti prata ok. The only downer was the hair which i try not to let my imagination run wild. This almost perfect meal was at the Curry Culture at Cuppage Terrace.
