Hokkaido has plenty of ramen stalls and this is one of the most popular in Otaru, Tokaiya Ramen. Check out the hyperlink, this is just a few minutes walk from the Otaru train station. What’s unique about this ramen is the BBQ char siew that they used instead of the traditional boiled type. The outcome is simply fantastic as the BBQ char siew gives a great contrast to the thick and smooth broth giving the taste bud a very satisfying feeling. Writing about this is already made me miss it very much. Definitely will return next time i am back in Otaru.
